I learned that a close, dear friend of mine died by suicide. I had been friends with them for over 20 years. We had grown distant, which was my fault. I am devastated. I am not coping well.

Currently struggling with this, once my kids are in bed, I go to sleep. I don't play games anymore. I don't spend time with any friends online. I just wake up, get kids to school, work/write, pick up kids, feed kids, bath kids, kids to bed, i shower, sleep

I wish people better understood the daily battle I have with myself. But this last year, I have made great strides for emotional regulation and making healthier mental health choices. But I have also reverted to some unhealthy defense mechanisms to keep me emotionally safe.
