I think everyone needs to read Holly McNish's poem "Mermaids" written 2 weeks after having her own baby, after reading about 62 desperate people whose lives ended in a small broken boat off Tripoli, including two infants, & really contemplate how conditional their #empathy is... #poetry #humanity

I managed to get 2 hardwood antique chairs from Scottish Opera (fabric to be replaced, solid👍) for a song (pun intended). Sanded old yellow varnish off a beech wood £1.50 second hand mug tree. I also got a clock someone broke on the shop for £1 (just a battery mechanism) #craft #reuse #environment ⬇️
