New on Winesky: you can now create links between your reviews, cross-referencing them so you can find them easily! Simply type @ and start entering a search string, and it’ll show the reviews you have created that match it best.

No worries, input is good! We are just extremely sensitive to individual privacy, which is why reviews and notes at not on the PDS unless you explicitly choose to do it, and why we strip any geolocation data before the photo even leaves the client.

Thanks for the input! Yeah, ATmosphere user average is tricky, as that is easy to disambiguate given the total user numbers now. That’s why it’s mostly based on web search and large publications.

We may do a beer-focused version, even if I think most things should translate. It would be ideal to get more feedback from beer drinkers about what they’d like to see (eg. What sort of data is important when generating a summary). Our head is obviously in wine. 🍷

The trade-off is that some features, like list requests you send to the backend from a Bluesky reply, cannot be automatically added to your repo and require you to open the client. mu.social/profile/wine... We prefer to err on the side of user control, though.

fwiw, something that we don't make that clear is that the token is bound to the client, not our backend, so only operations you execute on the client app itself can mutate your data. There's no chance of (say) someone taking over the server and going on a post or delete rampage.

Hi! Sure, happy to. site.standard is a gated experimental feature, where (on and off) we've been trying to find a good way to publish longer reviews to stansite. I haven't prioritized it so may remove it altogether. authDeleteContent is so you can delete from the app threads you posted to Bluesky.

🌞🌙 Winesky now has a light theme! By default it follows your system settings (light / dark), so those of you used to the original dark theme may see a UI change when you first log in. You can also head into settings and pick whichever you prefer, if you'd rather stick to just one.
