And I'm not saying that as an exec or one of todays youth that DEMAND we keep things short and snappy. You NEED to have something slow, lighthearted and/or something that lets you process The Plot every now and then! But my point is that rolling the bit around for too long is PERSONALLY annoying!

Dreaming Through A Lifetime @windydreams.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Yeah, I get that, in a professional production, you NEED to hit that agreed-upon runtime mark. But that doesn't change the fact that I'm going to notice that the plot progression has frozen and that I find it a BIT annoying!

100

Dreaming Through A Lifetime @windydreams.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

I've seen a decent amount! I remember having a similar problem with Re: ZERO actually: there were some scenes where characters were just... bouncing the same sentiments back and forth for several minutes. A minor annoyance in an otherwise great anime!

Dreaming Through A Lifetime @windydreams.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Oh no, the swearing was fine! I was referring to the length and amount of "WTF *is going on*" that was... going on. Why does the machine talk? Why can't we understand her? Why did the translator stop her from speaking etc. There were a lot of things and it went on and on!

100

Dreaming Through A Lifetime @windydreams.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

This was an AMAZING episode! Though I did feel the whole WTF with the translator scene went on a BIT too long and had a BIT too many WTFs at once... but that is a NITPICK compared to the rest of the episode! GREAT JOB!🥰

This trend has been going around and thought I could join! I tried to choose things from as wide of a scale as I could... but some were just TOO formative to leave out. Anyway, these are MY picks for movies and games!☺️

I meant, like, was the script supposed to be written LIKE a finished book BEFORE it went through publisher edits, formating and printing. But it's REALLY hard for me to rephrase things so I just watched the chaos unfold in horror. I got my answer EVENTUALLY, though, so... yay?

Dreaming Through A Lifetime @windydreams.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Found out a novel's script is different from a TV-show/movie script and I asked in a local booklovers' chat what form it should be in. A writer explained it, prompting me to ask: "So a novel's script is a "done" book?" Which sparked a heated debate on the right definition of "done".

So if I understood this correctly: they are mad that you are forced to die... in a game where dying is a game mechanic? That they think dying in a game is a proof of failure? And that forcing a player to "fail" is abusive? NGL I'm kinda curious what kind of an environment they were raised in now!🤔

thinking about the popularity of so many "redraw trends" and plagiarism of compositions by all sorts of artists (it comes up often for gposing but 2D artists do it too). i have to sum up my discomfort with it as follows: it's artists treating other artists the same way A/I treats art as data

...You ARE aware your stomach is SUPPOSED to protrude a little, even when you're skinny? That "chub" is your organs! They need the room! If they DIDN'T protrude it's either a. your organs naturally sit further back or b. something is SERIOUSLY wrong and you need to go to the doctor!
