i know a lot of people are like "live for spite!!!" and i 100% support that if that's what keeps you going but if it doesn't work for you you can live for a variety of reasons, including "read book that isn't out yet", "love", "step on a crunchy leaf", "look at the river", "pat a creature" etc

in case someone needs to hear this: the main, uniquely numbered final fantasy entries are all new stories with new characters that you do not need knowledge from previous entries to play. you can just play whichever one looks the coolest to you.

While im sitting here posting though i need to be real for a minute. Im working on moving out of my parents' house and all i have here so far is basic stuff like clothes and groceries and i already feel so at peace just being here. It really does get better.

I will never be fully satisfied with kingdom hearts until khuχ and dark road get their own proper games tbh. The story in both of them is so raw and they deserve more than being trapped in a mobile gacha game that's already gone out of service

No yeah that's real when i was sick as a kid i would go between napping and playing khχ while staying home from school. Very good head empty game considering it was all in japanese which i can't read

Remember that part in Holes by Louis Sachar when they say the worst hole you dig isn't the first one but the second one because that's when you realize you'll be doing the same thing over and over

Gender is whatever you want it to be but it's stacked up against social constructs and the identity problems that come with being plural so i don't blame you for struggling!!

cricket / roxas @willowbells.bsky.social · 30/10/2024

It really does something to you when you look past the games you play and start to learn about the faces behind them, and game devs are always going to see that before anyone else because they *are* those people! Every asset and story concept and line of code has a face and name tied to it after all

"Madness" A whiteboard doodle from some time ago [ #art | #rainworld | #BRart ]

Drawing of Artificer from Rain World in a very sketchy style. Their lineart is magenta and they're staring maniacally at the camera with one huge eye while their other eye has a scar. The background is a dark gray, contrasting with the unpainted inside of the character.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Game devs support other game devs. I have NEVER seen an actual #gamedev celebrate a studio closure or a game getting bad reviews. On the contrary, we WANT other games to succeed! Making games is hard, and shipping is even harder. We support each other.
