I tend to enjoy 2d20 more than most. This is not the heroic version from Conan or John Carter, so it's not momentum rich. The ship stuff works well. Orlanth Rex has a podcast deep dive on it, but you will have to put up with me complaining about stuff.

With all due respect to Phil and Simon, as a wee lad, I found the MM a source of inspiration for scenarios, just from a flourish in the description text. If the third volume was an atlas, it might have done much the same job I suppose.
