For real? I'm not surprised it's coming from them...

Running a sandbox is not complicated at all... #famouslastwords

Okay, okay! It's raining, so I got to try this too. You can run `HERDR_AGENT=claude fbk run claude` to run inside a firebrick sandbox in herdr and it will correctly detect the state of the agent.

This looks like Aspire is running on my local machine, but it isn't. It is running inside the sandbox and I forwarded a port to the sandbox :D I'm extremely, extremely happy about this!

Learning a bit more about Omarchy from the interview as well. My disk is pretty fast, and this isn't even the fastest I have.

Burned through another 525M tokens this week on my personal claude max subscription. You have to agree with me that this must be subsidized as hell. The local factory is running well. The sandbox is getting there :D

I was hoping the list would get shorter... but it isn't.

Go and Rust, for me, have some interesting upsides. I can be sure their language servers work in editors like vim. And that if something breaks, I can find it myself and fix things.

Super happy with the new show-me skill integration into my submit-pr skill :D

I've been quiet for a bit about code reviews. It's still a challenge. Understanding how to review a pull request is hard, especially if it's a huge one. I found the show-me skill from humanlayer quite valuable here. Now my PRs show a diagram or visual explanation of what's going on with it!

Once again, GitHub is broken... This stuff used to just work.

Well, it looks like my agentic sandbox is doing its thing. I can connect over SSH to it :D

Running a docker container inside a VM? No problem, it doesn't require all that much either!
000
Willem Meints @willemmeints.bsky.social · 25/09/2026
Is that a container running as a VM on my machine? with a shell that I can use? I think, this is going to be pretty awesome!

My open-source agent keeps surprising me. It takes screenshots of grafana, for example, to verify the dashboard works. Very nice!

Modern software development. No code editor in sight. I might as well turn of the monitor, because I'm not looking most of the time. On the left, the stack of agents running. On the right the monitoring with grafana/prometheus doing its thing. Not shown: A super-heated DGX spark box at 88.9C.

Running Qwen 3.8 Flash on my DGX machine. I found a nice task to test it. Fix 50 ruff-reported python code style issues involving method complexity and docstring style errors.

Made a nice grafana dashboard for my DGX machine, because well, yeah, I had to :P Going to save this one, I have a strong feeling others might find this very useful.

In my case, the setup I have produced roughly 100 tokens/sec. I tried other combinations, as you can see in the image. That didn't work as well.

I've been testing with hindsight for two days now. I can see some effects in how the coding agent is reasoning now. It doesn't have a massive effect though.

Working with multiple agents in herdr. It's working suprisingly well. Now I need to figure out how to let it work with multiple worktrees.

Mr. @defaultconstructor.com infected me with the flightsim bug once again. Installing Fenix A320 pack. There goes the vacation time...

Working on slides for an upcoming talk in September. I'm using open-source models more and more, but the engineering required to make it tick is slightly harder.

More whacky ideas for my backlog management tool. I'm going to have to take this to claude code and make it a thing ;-)

Willem Meints @willemmeints.bsky.social · 22/06/2026
Experimenting a bit with claude design this evening. Made a prototype of an AI-driven backlog editor. You can select a backlog item and discuss it with the agent. Then, after you're done, you can ask it to update the item for you. I think I like it.

Building a tool for myself to solve a really annoying problem. A great time to try out docker sandbox! Freakishly cool, it supports tmux!

Trying something completely different for next thursday. I sketched out the slides this time in Excalidraw. Hope it works out.

Turned the wire frame into a working coding agent. It's a nice upgrade from the pure shell implementation I had before :P

Having a bit of fun improving my coding agent prototype running on my local LLM setup. Claude Design is quite good for wire framing this sort of stuff.

Today is a coding day for me. Working on some pretty cool AI solution. Happy to be sitting in front of tmux and neovim with some Go and Typescript.

Combining Claude Code with Storybook is still one of the best moves when you need to build professional reusable components. It works for Vue, React, Angular, and many more.

Finishing up a few more smaller things in the AI gateway project. Aspire is really helpful with this kind of stuff.

Sadly, I don't run docker anymore. I use podman these days. But the devcontainer route is reasonably easy :-)

Testing the ultraplan mode in claude code. That's pretty cool. I don't agree with the plan, but still..

This project is nearing its first release to my colleagues ;-) Now if only claude code would stop making marketing stuff.

Switching from ollama to vllm on my blackwell machine so I can run a more diverse set of models. Really curious how this is going to run with multiple agents.

This makes me very happy! I managed to scale the review work too. So far it's going reasonably well. Except that I now need to set up cucumber tests to run end-to-end test scenarios because the agent fails to detect some annoying mistakes.

Time to start another print! More gridfinity bins to store random small objects. I find myself printing a lot more stuff now that the printer is so easy to control.
