I'm really happy with how well Galactic Racer runs. My mid-tier-when-I-bought-it-5-years-ago laptop can run it on epic settings (albeit a little hotter than I'm comfortable with). And also it still looks great on medium! What a concept!

Hello Bone Colleagues,
I have invented a new type of ankle and I'm very excited to show it to you. Early raccoon trials suggest a 60% increase in scurrying speed and dramatic increases in fine motor banditry. I know we are not supposed to create super raccoons, but I think you'll change your mind and professional ethics when you see how cute they are. I believe we are on the cusp of a new era in advanced human scurrying because if medical science has taught me anything, it's that improvements in raccoons correspond 1:1 to improvements in humans.

A fun little detail I noticed while I was playing earlier is that when you race in the red sand place, if you retrace another racer's trail, it kinda blinds you and maybe slows you down too, so you're mechanically incentived to swerve around and carve new lines in the most aesthetically playing way

Only 35 GB?? I hope that's a good sign of a well-optimized game that will run nicely on slightly older hardware!
The download screen on Steam showing Star Wars Galactic Racer being downloaded, and the total file size is 34.8 GB

I also didn't think it was going to be as much of a standard superhero story as it is. But that said, it's really sweet and funny so far

I'm finally watching My Adventures With Superman, on episode 6, and so far, while it's fun and cute, I'm disappointed that it's basically just a Superman show with a little more focus on his relationships. I thought the whole point was that it was supposed to be centered on Lois and her perspective.

I don't know, but it made me think about the fact that there's evidence of a higher rate of gender nonconformity among neurodivergent people, and I just wonder if there's something at the intersection of all those things...

Ok, now I've actually FINISHED reading (fantastic article btw!). Something that struck me at the end was that, while it's true that I have a 👋complicated👋 relationship with gender, the strongest resonance for me was with my ADHD/autism. Like, it made me feel that Mercury's gender is neurodivergence?

Haha, I posted that after only reading the preview text of your article and inferred that this was something Lewis said in some obscure or previously undiscovered writing. I totally forgot it was all just straight up stated in THS 🤣

I know people in the MTG world hate on Energy as a mechanic — and for good reason since it's often very poorly implemented — but I just realized the reason I really enjoy my energy deck is because it gives me a simple little engine-builder mini-game to play while I play, and that's nice for me.

I grew up primarily using Apple computers; our first family computer was a pre-OSX Power Macintosh and my first personal computer was a pre-Intel iBook G4. I say that just to say I have decades of experience with MacOS. I JUST NOW learned you can hold Option for extra right-click menu items.

Not sure I'd say Death Stranding stuck the landing, but the big twist at the end was fun. Kinda wish some of that plot could've been paced out more through the rest of the game instead of making me watch a feature-length cutscene at the end, but I guess I shouldn't be surprised considering.

I wasn't alive for the worst of the Cold War, and when I was, I didn't know about it until after, but now that I'm hitting middle-age and learning more about it, I'm starting to have more sympathy for my parents' generation and some of their *stuff*. I can't imagine how terrifying it would've been.

Whoa, I'd never heard a concise and researched telling of the story! When "Kent Black's BBQ" opened in San Marcos everyone was very confused. I've also learned there's a pretty massive BBQ family schism up in the DFW area, but I don't remember the name. BBQ is serious business

Death Stranding is fascinating for the way its themes flip back and forth between feeling childishly and naively straightforward and optimistic and feeling like everything has been an enormous and hopelessly complex web of lies. There is no in-between and I can't tell which way it's gonna go.

I finally tried the new Ghost In The Shell, and while I love the art style and the lighthearted tone, it takes SO MUCH energy to watch because the exposition is SO DENSE and you have to choose between subs that move at lightning speed or a dub that's buried in the mix without closed captioning.
