Of course noone would choose to opt in. It's as skeezy to be asked permission to train data learning models on people's work and personal information as it is to have that be the default standard. People are saying no because they don't want it. If you really cared, then don't add it.

I may not speak out often on my views on things, but if you wanna know my general takes, here's a brief overview: - I don't care for AI, especially in art. - I'm pro feminism, pro trans rights, and pro body positivity. - Racist, sexist, and anti-LGBT attitudes suck. There ya go!

Fandom boundaries are long over due
A work in progress document called Fandom Boundaries so far it says This document serves solely to set boundaries for Marzy as the creator of Divine Acid. Having witnessed the behavior for the TADC fandom, Helluva Boss, Hazbin, and even Gameoverse, I feel that it is important that these boundaries are established to prevent colossal damage within the fandom space as well as the Official crew.

You are the observer. Not a participant of the creative process. This means that you are not entitled to having your head canons become canon, nor have the show/comic/game etc cater to you specifically. All creative decisions are done at the discretion of the crew and the creator of said project. Do not assume something is canon just because something happens to fall in line with your headcanon/theory.
Voice actors, animators, and other crew members are not your friends. Please remember that you are a fan. All relationships between fan and crewmember are to be kept at arms length. If at any time a crewmember wishes to block you for whatever reason, you the fan must respect their boundary

The reason certain people are still on Twitter or complain how this place isn’t Twitter is because for a brief amount of time Twitter allowed specialty journalists, opinion writers, pundits, etc a chance to feel somewhat famous, or that they actually had influence, and they miss that like heroin.

Throwing someone's work under the bus with entitlement and ill intent is not criticism. It is just mean-spirited and undeserved. And it sets real bad precedents for others to follow in suit, since a lot of negative discourse often baits a lot of bad faith traction and infighting.

Criticism can hurt, especially if it's undeserved or coming from bad faith arguers. But it is important to see criticism, when it is constructive and professional, as opportunities to grow rather than as an attack. Good criticism is meant to encourage improvement, not hinder it.

Trump v. Trump’s IRS. It's a sham case and a sham “settlement”
Screenshot of a post from @atrupar (Aaron Rupar) on X.com, showing a Senate hearing exchange where Sen. Reed informs Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche that 405,427 taxpayer returns were leaked in the 2020 IRS breach, confirms Trump and his family were among those affected, and points out that Trump was president at the time, making it his IRS that allowed the breach. Below is a video still of Blanche seated at a witness table with his nameplate reading "Hon. Todd Blanche, Acting Attorney General, U.S. Department of Justice," with other hearing attendees visible behind him.

Microsoft's idea is "Okay we'll ease up on the AI stuff just a little" when the actual situation calls for ripping it out by the roots, or at the very least offering it as a standalone service. That eventuality will come probably two years from now, long after the damage is done.

You can see this over at Microsoft, where they're scrambling to change direction: removing Copilot from some applications, finally giving users a toolbar they can move and resize, etc. The trouble is by the time a company begins to react to new information, they're shooting at a moving target.

I'd even wager all these "AI" commencement speeches were written when this concluding school year began, and they're still following the same script without regard to the situation in front of them. Market cycles combined with hype bubbles are a kind of horse blinders for executives.
