A little late for #WildflowerHour but here are a few of my finds from the wonderful Pentwyn Farm Nature Reserve in Monmouthshire. Well worth a visit. Green-winged orchid, Common spotted orchid, Bird’s foot trefoil, Meadow buttercup.

This Tulipa elegans rubra has caught the tulip breaking virus hence the beautiful flame-like stripes. Back in the 17thC this ‘broken’ bulb could fetch more than the price of a house in Amsterdam. For us it’s just a lucky surprise in the garden🌷 #TulipFever #BrokenTulip #GardenHistory #SpringInBloom
