I went to Evergreen, the UCSC sister school in Washington that also had no grades. Instead, we had long, detailed evaluations from faculty at the end of every semester, as well as ones we had to write ourselves. (In retrospect, grades would probably have been a lot easier for everyone involved.)

SCV4 was my favorite for years, and then a little while ago I played it right after beating CV1, and was like “…are we sure that’s actually a Castlevania?” Makes total sense that team went on to form Treasure, it’s a very Treasure-coded game.

I think there’s a belief that ADHD treatment somehow turns kids into lobotomized worker bees, blunts their creativity, etc. (which probably comes from overall negative ideas about psychiatry). In my experience, it FOCUSES creativity. It’s like a clear signal cutting through static.
