Today is the last day that the National Weather Service entry level job posting is open. It was a great and valuable experience interviewing with offices. I did end up getting past the interview stage but I had to turn it down for life reasons. I’m grateful for the opportunity and sad.

Really feeling for all NWS offices trying to hire new employees. I just got an email that there’s still no new updates regarding hiring actions anywhere in WFOs. I’ve heard rumblings that there might even be a huge pause on this too. Maybe they won’t hire anyone for awhile :(

My mom notified me that my father almost had a heart attack or heart failure because a CT scan revealed that his artery was getting blocked in his heart. He had numbness in his body for over a year but the doctor didn’t think much of it. Maybe I need to test for heart complications.

Exciting news. I just got accepted into the University of Illinois to continue my education and potentially on the path of a masters program in meteorology!! This is a certificate program in Weather and Climate Risk and Data Analytics which I hope to do well in and pursue a masters!

Large HP supercell from a couple of days ago near Woodbine, KS. This slow moving storm had a constant rumble of thunder and was consistently sculpted by the winds aloft and the colors in the storm were amazing around sunset. #kswx
