Usually those kinda lists will knock out 1 person then get full crackback from the other two. Or they get knocked out early themselves because they can see how the creature will get out of control fast. Overall, I don't think it's a problem. How do I know? Ygra, Eater of All is one of my favorites.

I loved set blocks. The feeling of expansion and story progression in each set was really immersive. The Otarian sets post-Apocalypse were my favorites, partly because they were complete stories contained within themselves. I don't think we will go back though, Krosa seems boring without the Mirari.

The most often when I see it, it's because somebody upgraded their deck and didn't understand the power jump. That's annoying but imo forgivable. What i can't tolerate are people that think rule zero is cringe and "just play whatever it's casual" then drop Sheoldred turn 3.
