"Friends" is a beloved American sitcom that aired from 1994 to 2004, following six young adults—Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe—living in New York City. The show explores their friendships, romances, careers, and personal growth over ten seasons.

Work for Microsoft! Achieve your dreams of—checks notes—producing one million lines of broken slop per month. What's crazy is that Microsoft has been churning out garbage with **human** engineers for years. I have a (hated) Microsoft machine for certain work duties and it's almost pure bloat.

Update: It appears my post generated far more attention than I intended... with a lot of speculative reading between the lines.

Picked up @elizmccrack.bsky.social new writing book. I've never felt more seen as a person with a billion demands on my time. This is why she makes the big bucks, folks. Go buy it. bookshop.org/p/books/a-lo...
Worse: if you believe you must write every day and life intervenes and you stop, it can feel as though you've stopped for good. Too late to pick it up again. You might even feel ashamed. Writing becomes an unpaid bill. You can't even open the envelope. You stick it in a drawer so you don't have to look at it. Then the time away from writing stretches on.

True mensch @sheaserrano.bsky.social came through with the fun swag for pre-ordering Expensive Basketball. P.S. I’ve never heard of Billy Law, but I am a lawyer so I’m going to try to get people to unironically call me that from now on.

@denizcamp.bsky.social and his collaborators are on absolute fire right now. Both of these books had me near tears. Pro tip: don’t read them back-to-back if you’re trying to have a regular-ass day, emotionally.

Is Alito just lying here? Ensign said he wasn't "aware" of any planned flights. Gov't also reserved the right to remove people the next day. But also, the gov't has repeatedly lied to courts. What a hack. If a working lawyer submitted something this transparently dishonest, they'd be flogged.
Although this Court did not hear directly from the Government regarding any planned deportations under the Alien Enemies Act in this matter, an attorney representing the Government in a different matter, J.G.G. v Trump, No. 1:25-cv-766 (DC), informed the District Court in that case during a hearing yesterday evening that no such deportations were then planned to occur either yesterday, April 18, or today, April 19.

The last book I read that straight up knocked my socks off was Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees by @patrickhorvath.bsky.social. Gory and beautiful and funny and sad. Also, this year I finally read Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, which deserves all its hype. Poignant story and breathtaking art.
