Here's my shot of the tornado that developed to the south of Grinnell, KS yesterday! This is my first tornado! We got hit by the outer circulation and saw the ghost train ram into us with 50-60mph winds. You can see the left edge of the tornado on the left-center of the image, barely.

Midnight Update: Our storm is weakening and moving inland. Winds have gusted 50-70 mph along the coast, with gusts of 40-55 mph possible for the lowlands through 8-10 AM. Additionally, large waves of 25-30 feet will bring dangerous conditions to the coast. #wawx

Last night's long-range GFS was one of the most beautiful model runs that I have ever seen. No point in going into detail about the specifics of the model run other than the potential for colder air at the end of the month is remaining and increasing still. This deserved to be put in the Louvre!

Tonight could surprise a lot of people across Western Washington. Strong low pressure system has the potential to go pretty far inland with gusty south winds for most of the Puget Sound. Wouldn’t rule out gusts up to 55-65 mph. Prepare for possible power outages! #wawx
