The Jane Austen Center is next door to a (very nice) board game café so naturally I am now imagining a Jane Austen RPG Play as a woman of marriageable age, country squire, spinster, retired Naval officer on half pay, vicar… Lose Social Standing Points for wearing last year’s style to the ball

Shopfronts for Thirsty Meeples and the Jane Austen Centre. In Georgian buildings. Someone dressed in period clothes is in front of the Jane Austen as well as a statue / mannequin of a Jane Austen woman in a blue dress and bonnet.

Seems foolhardy to disagree with Ian Rankin but I’d put forward the Bell Inn as the best pub in Bath, and not just because a deep Joni Mitchell cut was playing as I came in
