Visibility of other atproto apps. We need wayyy more users to approach sustainable levels. Bsky can help greatly with exposing Semble to new users. One idea: recommend other apps after following someone, similar to how substack recommends pubs and accounts. Eg "this user is also active on Semble"

surprisingly 'atproto' ISN'T the most commonly selected topic, 'software development' is. 'Science' is top 4.

Building on some of @chrisshank.com's work, what if we had browsers that were atproto-native? orange link = in your PDS green link = in the PDS of someone you follow Dreaming about the future of social hypertext ✨

Being in the atproto community, I sometimes forget how enshittified some social apps have become. In the open social web, people will pay for valuable services, *not* to export their data.

*Shameless plug warning* Chatted with someone who was quite interested in @atproto.science and the future of scientific publishing. Had lots of links to send them and boy was it ever satisfying to be able to share a universe of interconnected content with just a few links to @semble.so collections!

part of our goal with @cosmik.network is to make visible the "micro-contributions" of knowledge work / research to the information commons. Imagine if in @semble.so you could see who curated the search results? Here's one idea to make attribution part of the core experience (vs Google)

Saved a podcast episode to Semble and realized @ronentk.me already saved it a few days ago. So cool to have access to these shared attention signals. This is only the start but I can already feel the collective intelligence emerging. semble.so/url?id=https...

Some serious cooking with @bmann.ca & @ronent.bsky.social about Semble. Never thought I’d hear Boris say “my brain is mush” from too much #atproto talk. Excited to share out our roadmap for all of this.

As a language learner, I try to think about languages within a "fluency pyramid". The idea here would be to start with my least fluent language, then progressively translate into more fluent languages until the meaning of the text is understood. A good browser extension helps a lot!

Yesterday I was reading a bit about attribution-based revenue sharing in @projectliberty.io's newsletter. Then today I see a feature update by @kagi.com for "proportional source attribution" for Kagi to "share profits with publishers participating in [their] AI answers".

Working on some basic social features after laying the foundation for an event-driven architecture. The system modularity afforded by decoupled rich domain events is blissful! (Basic) notifications will be a breeze. DDD and clean (layered) architecture will level up your game no doubt.

Keep in mind that you might have "verbatim" search on by default which can falsely give the sense that the search results aren't as good as google's. This can be toggled per search or in settings.

easily save URLs to your PDS with a browser extension! name and UI are placeholders, lmk if you'd like to test / early access. UI vibe coding with a well-tested API client works wonders!

Forced ads while fuelling up. Gas station enshittification is real. Though I must point out the irony of complaining about enshittification while using a service (bsky) I (along with many others) assume should be free even though its costs human labour, hardware and computation.

With powerful enough curation, we're hoping that can provide rich and contextual datapoints for meaningful ranking as well. Stay tuned.

This thread covers a lot of ground for some of the major motivations driving our thinking at @cosmik.network TLDR: we're taking a crack at this problem, focusing on granular curation Here's a sneak peek until we have more to share ;)
a tldraw mock up of an atproto annotations app with the text: "Welcome to Annos by Cosmik
Annos lets you easily annotate, review, and curate web content that is interesting to you
and your existing social network on ATProto"
"All of your annotations are stored in your atproto PDS, meaning you have full control and can use them seamlessly in other apps. No platform lock-in, no new account, no proprietary formats.

Your social network transcends apps and platforms. Annos honours this."

I just went through this list of labelers and subscribed to some and self-labeled my account. bsky.app/profile/labe... This is what the labels look like on a post #atproto Lots of opportunities here to (1) make new labelers, and (2) build tools that make finding and using labelers much easier.
