Look at this sculpture by those at Casa Milagro about the resilience of the bison. We were informed this was stolen in Pueblo last weekend. So the bison has had an adventure to get here! #ayAcon #ayAcon2026 #Colorado

Tomorrow! Thank you all for the contributions, it helps a LOT through my new job transition (I got hired yesterday and put in my two weeks!) and takes away much of the stress from a deeply emotional visit to my hometown 🥹❤️‍🩹

I'm admittedly scared, but hopeful that this will ultimately help my mental wellbeing as well. Change is hard ; ; <3

Best perk of all: my girl will be able to join me at work as a shop dog eventually!

After sleeping on it a bit in a literal sense, I accepted the offer! I may have to be more cautious of spending with the pay loss, but. I'll officially be making professional gear for sporting and working dogs (which has been an interest of mine for many moons)! 🥹💚

My current workplace from an employee of 22yrs who stated yesterday that "its like watching a good friend slowly dying" and feeling like I don't know if its worthwhile to stay, for unstable pay and coworkers who haze one another with no repercussions. New opportunity has been around since 1948.

Interview went really well, they wanted me earlier this week! Pros: Solid hours, favorable work culture, easy commute, learning a trade skill I could take anywhere. Opportunity for growth. ..BUT. Cons: Significant pay cut. Odd work hours initially. Current workplace has been cutting us a lot.

I hate that I just so recently asked for funds this Summer to help a friend in a bad situation. This time, its for me. I am already anticipating putting a hotel on my personal card, but with gas prices once again as they are... Funds for gas money to drive down for a funeral for my late uncle 💔

As I am going to be dodging any possibility of relying on my parents, I am grateful for any assistance for this bittersweet send-off to my absolute favorite family member who has ever truly given a shit about me. 🏳

Sweetie @werewolfhound.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

I am going to be brave and do everything within my power to be there to see him one last time as he did for me. Gas money is rough but its a small commute from Colorado to Texas. Any relief from putting the full amount of this all on my card is beyond appreciated. Work has been cutting hours too. ->

I was completely unaware that he had a tragic accident during work that left him in the care of my aunt for the past year or so, and suddenly, on his very own birthday, he had passed. I am full of mixed feelings and regrets as I felt closer to him than my own father on most days. ->

Some of you may have been present at my wedding that got rescheduled three times due to Covid (lol) and may have even briefly met my uncle, who was the ONLY extended family who made a point to come out for me and my husband's special day. I haven't seen him since, after cutting my parents off. ->

Sweetie @werewolfhound.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

He shared his Juxtapoz magazines with me, actively asked me about my art, and truly cared to learn about me while my other family gifted me McDonald's gift cards or a $5 gift card to clothing stores that i'd never be caught dead in bc I was always the odd one out, my parents controlled everything.->

and not in the way where your family gets you the off-brand crayons or giant kids art set with the crusty markers or etc. He gifted me a huge book that was full of incredible graffiti art for my birthday, as well as one of his older sketchbooks with his work, and more. ->

I accidentally dropped it down one of the rocks I was on with my uncle, and started sobbing. He went down to retrieve it for me, and when you're that small it felt like he climbed a mountain for me and my toy. Growing up, my uncle also saw my interest in art and really fostered that appreciation ->

My earliest childhood memory was when I was perhaps 2yrs old. I was at Garden of the Gods here in Colorado with my family and I had this small Elmira tiny toons car that when you scooted the wheels on a surface, a little bunny hopped in a circle in the back of her truck. ->
