Finally, we have a banger Resident Evil movie. Lean, mean, bloody as hell & hilarious. Abrams embodies the average terrified player experience, wholly unprepared for the onslaught of horrors. The more I think about it, the more I like it. My review at Dread:

Had the pleasure of chatting with Adam Wingard and Adria Arjona for Onslaught. Not only does it sound like we could very likely see more films set in the universe, but odds are Arjona could go up against some familiar faces…

Found Onslaught to be a big step down from The Guest, but I can’t say I didn’t have fun with the ludicrous approach and John Carpenter cosplay. My review at Dread:

Haha I’m sorry 😞. I didn’t dislike it, still fun, was just hoping for better. Sounds like general consensus so far is that it’s a mixed bag but a good time, so hopefully you still enjoy it!

Coyote vs. Acme was a total blast. Everything you love about the Looney Tunes blended with a courtroom comedy that feels all too timely. Felt like such a great win to see this in theaters. Thrilled for all involved. Down with ACME!

Gutted to hear Hayden Panettiere passed. She was an icon in this industry. I loved her as Kirby in the Scream movies and that epic rant of horror films is legendary. Was happy for her when they brought her back. Awful news 💔

I had such a good time with The End of Oak Street. Mitchell delivers the sort of fun, scary and heartfelt dinosaur thrill ride I’ve been craving for years. Easily one of the best of the sub-genre since Jurassic Park. One sequence after another had my audience screaming.
