Actually, ABC, I'd say there's one opposition now - the Greens. The rest (ALP, LNP, ON) are all varying degrees of the right - lock up kids, property investor tax cuts, data centres, cuts to public services and infrastructure. Weird you forgot to mention them? www.abc.net.au/news/2026-10...

Three oppositions are contesting Victoria's election. The premier leads one
With voters flocking to One Nation and Premier Ben Carroll doing all he can to distance himself from his predecessors, Victoria is gearing up for an unusual election in eight weeks' time.

Well well well, someone said the quiet part out loud

“This is the first time in my adult life where there's been an issue that's come up that I feel like is going to directly impact me,” says Dave Lowe, a lifelong conservative Republican who lives near a proposed data center in Texas.

One Nation will not be defeated by tiny tweaks
Labor’s new migration restrictions respond to public concerns about immigration, but tighter visa rules alone cannot resolve deeper anxieties about housing, economic security and social change.

Labor backbenchers have been out in force the past few days spruiking "increases" in Centrelink payments. To be very, very clear: this is absolute bullshit. This is an automatic CPI adjustment, not an increase. Labor is still keeping people on income support in poverty.

One part in this week's ep was discussion about how the issue with "carbon credits" isn't that they're a weak way to address climate change. No - they're a very EFFECTIVE way to help companies INCREASE their carbon emissions. "Carbon credits" are a scam that actively makes climate change worse.

The RBA isn't concerned about the inflation from profiteering companies; it's *expressly* worried about what its members consider the REALLY BAD inflation - your wages going up. They consider unemployment going *down* the bad thing. The RBA being in charge of interest rates is an assault on workers.
