The worst people you know are going to react predictably to this and they will absolutely ignore the important context that female workforce participation is still well below pre-covid levels and some of this is the return to normal.

Line graph from FRED. Workforce participation rate for women rose in the late 2010s then dropped sharply in early 2020 due to pandemic related unemployment. The recovery has been uneven with participation nearing pre-pandemic levels in early 2024 and then falling again.
