We're a net exporter of diesel by a huge margin and the majority of our imported diesel comes from Canada. There's no reason we even want Russian diesel - we very literally have diesel at home!

Just saw a post from a bakery saying she won't vote for Marshall because in 2020 his campaign ordered $700 of decorated sugar cookies and never paid her. There are a bunch of comments from people saying that after seeing that they can't vote for him. And... whatever works, I guess, but how strange.

These kinds of polls are why I'm still extremely skeptical about midterms - there are wide swathes of people who are suffering and know it under the current regime but would sooner die than vote for a Democrat (even if they self label as "independent"). We kinda just have to hope they stay home.

I had a baby in June. I got letters last week from the state of Kansas and the US Federal Treasury dept that her account had been opened. The weirdest part is that my letter from the feds was addressed to my maiden name but with a 'III' suffix tacked on (which is part of my husband's legal name).

My biggest complaint is that every color in the Civ 7 palette is so grayed out, Civ 6 is just a much more cheerful experience

My kids are 27 months apart, I was not prepared for my targeted ads postpartum to be so dramatically different!

Once again reminding everyone with my full voice that CORN CAN'T VOTE I mean, it's Kansas, probably more apt to say wheat can't vote. But 600k of the 3 million people in Kansas live in Johnson County. That's 20%! Between the KC and Wichita metros, about half the state is non-rural 🤷🏻‍♀️

My theory on this is that it's at least in part yet another way we're all held captive by our aging population (plus ableism) - there are lots of people out there who were forced to consider that their hearing wasn't as good as they thought it was when they couldn't partially lip read
