Just watched the trailer for Primetime, and it confirms what we always knew: Aaron Sorkin's navel gazing SNL show never stood a chance when something so cheap and salacious was available. It's practically a Studio 60 plot!

I'm working on my first long form video essay. Here's a bit of the script:

On a snowy morning, a taxi arrives at a suburban home. A man with a hat and a backpack emerges and approaches the house.

Before he can ring the doorbell, a young woman flings open the door, thrilled to see him. He jokes about being in the wrong place. He has been gone so long that it is as though this woman is a stranger to him.

She points to herself and reminds him that she is his sister. They embrace.

She brews a pot of coffee and he pours himself a cup. As he starts to take a sip, he remembers that he has brought her a gift from far away. He pulls a small package out of his backpack and hands it to her.

She removes the bow and sticks it to his shirt. "You're my present this year," she tells him with a smile.

Drink our coffee.
