That was strange. Because the last time I've heard about bandcamp was a long time ago. And now twice in my feed at basically the same time lol

@godotengine.org what are you doing? I really like that you have a solid stance against AI but using AI for stuff like find and replace or regex where we have tools that do exactly this but deterministically like, actual find and replace and regex, is an error source you didnt even know existed.
Screenshot of excerp of godots stance against AI that reads:

No use of AI to generate substantial pieces of code

We require all code to be human authored. AI assistance should be limited to menial things (like code completion, regex, or find and replace).
If you do use AI in some capacity to author code, you must disclose it in the PR discussion.

What do you mean? That's 100% normal behaviour.

Also, prime example. Blueskys vibe code somehow shortens some posts without ellipses at the end.

I heard you like vibe coding, but have you ever tried to copy and paste pseudo code algorithms from Wikipedia to get your 'Polygon with holes triangulation via ear clipping' algorithm for a point and click adventure game working? It took me 3 hours and I still dont understand exactly what I did. lol

We live in such a brain dead world that it's now possible to pay extra to remove AI features from software. That means we have an increasing number of people that do not want AI and an industry that forces AI in those peoples lifes that gets fueled by basically infinite money. 100% clownfiesta world

What is Brave Origin?

Brave Origin is a paid* version of the browser for users who don’t need all the features that support Brave as a business, but still want the privacy that only Brave offers. Origin users will continue to benefit from our industry-leading privacy, adblock, and speed (via Shields), as well as regular software updates, Chromium patches, and security and privacy improvements. Origin will remove** most other features from the browser.

In Sun Simulator, you play as the Sun (or do you? is there a secret ending?) and try to push the planets to the correct temperatures to keep them cozy.

Weißstreifen @weissstreifen.eu · 01/05/2026
I think the 2 color palette may work. The only thing that is missing are a few planets and the game mechanics, so it's basically finished. lol

It sounds nerdy AF but If you are looking for friends try WoW raiding with a guild. It's so fun to acomplish something with strangers and feel how they become familiar. Today we killed the final Boss of the current season and it was huge fun and I think i found a few very nice people there. GG

Nice uptime monitoring bluesky. You should probably calculate how long the service was actually useable instead of averaging 400 background services with 100% uptime with the actual useable time of your app. /daubt

This badboy, makes it possible to write websocket commands in my current project with one-liners. I didn't even spend 100k dollars on it.
The Lisp Code: (defmacro defcommand (name args &body body)
  (let* ((responses (first (last body)))
         (success-response (first responses))
         (error-response (second responses))
         (code (butlast body)))
    `(setf (gethash ,name *command-table*)
           (make-command
            :name ,name
            :handler (lambda ,args ,@code)
            :success-response (list ,@success-response)
            :error-response (list ,@error-response)))))

I absolutely think the high dithering style with vibrant colors of old point and click adventures like the colonels bequest is the best graphics style ever used in media. Sadly it's incredible hard to pull off

I've build a C program that 100% mirrors the behaviour of Claudes C compiler. It's quite fast and it only took me 7 hours and 13k Dollars of VC money.

My game made it to Round 2 of the GDKO 2026 Game Jam. Woohooo. Now I have to figure something out for this task. But I think I just try to think so far out of the box that it lands inside another, nicer box.
Description of task 2 of the GDKO 2026 GameJam "Create a multifunctional level or collection of levels that include quick time events"

Did someone else recently had the problem that they couldn't connect to twitch via OBS? I couldn't start the stream so I disconnected my account and tried to reconnect it but now I get the same error when trying to connect my account to OBS. I'm now trying to stream via the stream key alone.

This mute list feature is pretty good. Finally the good stuff in my feed is not swept away by threads on how good vibe coding is. Sorry for repost, forgot the alt text

I wanted to learn sky shaders in Godot so a friend told me to use ChatGPT to learn because I am always so anti AI. I tried it. I know think AI is even worse. What a fucking useless piece of software and waste of resources.
Output from ChatGPT that mentions how a problem is fixed by repeating the exact error it wanted to fix 2 lines later. Marked with a huge red WTF

Day 11 of #adventofcode showed me that dynamic programming is beautiful. I tried a lot of pruning and other complicated stuff before but turns out that 10 lines of dynamic programming solve part 1 and 2 in less than 0.0005 seconds. Now let's finish the last day.
(defun dynp (neighbours paths current end)
(let ((mem (gethash current paths nil)))
    (cond (mem mem)
          ((string= current end) 1)
(t (let* ((next (gethash current neighbours))
                    (total (if next
(apply #'+ (mapcar (lambda (x) (dynp neighbours paths x end)) next))
                               0)))
               (setf (gethash current paths) total)

Let's goooooo. Now we got sprite support and audio working. It's a bit unhandy right now but you could actually create a game with it now. So it's basically early pre-alpha. Here is the Github, but it's incredible dirty code. github.com/Ecsodikas/Ar... #ocaml #gameengine #r-cade #racket #arcaml

Weißstreifen @weissstreifen.eu · 29/10/2025
Let's goooo. Arcaml, the r-cade like OCaml Game Engine now has keyboard input support and font rendering. Don't be fooled by the low frame rate. The more I implement the lower it probably gets lol. Because I don't know what I'm doing.

function and get your game running. The problem is that it can't do a lot now. It's missing some features some people would call necessary, like inputs, text rendering, actual graphics where you design your sprites in 2d arrays, audio and a few other parts. But it can do this, which is cool.
020
Weißstreifen @weissstreifen.eu · 27/10/2025
I'm building Arcaml, basically the r-cade game engine from Racket in OCaml right now. I try to create a native backend (which is already somewhat working) and a web backend so you can use it for small game jams. The API is giga trivial. You just pass a config struct, init, update and a draw

I'm aiming to create Berta in a way that I need about 20-30 minutes to beat it. I've created half the levels now for the early release. I think I'm on a good pace right now. And look at that amazing gwaffix. :D #bertasadventure #indiedev #gamedev

I've never felt so much pain in my entire life. But the results are worth it. Games are a huge part of my life and finally I got to pay some respect to the ones that shaped me the most. 10 Internet points for someone who knows where the last uncolored bois come from.

I really dig the new art style of Bertas Adventure now. You can see me play the tutorial here. It looks a bit stuttery, but I can promise you, it's smooth as hell. #gamedev #berta #hardcore #platformer #jumpandrun #devlog #indie

The second boss fight from Bertas Adventure. After fighting the Big Bad Fox now it's time to face death itself. The boss is an homage to the iconic Castlevania boss. There will be a lot of action with the deadliest of all farm tools. The scythe. #gamedev #bertasadventure

Finally, I can be productive again. The last Balatro challange #jokerless is not fun. Too many game ending boss blinds. Too much RNG. But it's done. Alas, I can rest now.

Trying to find a character style for a point and click adventure that I create to learn the Visionaire Studio Engine. I like this one a lot because it looks a bit silly and I can use the shape of the body to create heads in the real game.

I've seen a lot of people on the /r/BuyFromEU subreddit wanting to switch from Windows/MacOS over to Linux but they were intimidated by the sheer amount of choice you have. I try to make it as simple and simple as possible without the use of the scary terminal. Mint + Cinnamon should be a good start
