Today I passed a flowering vine
that grew along the way.
He leaned toward me and I leaned back
to hear what he might say:
“I’ve had too much of warmth,” said he,
“the sunshine toils in vain.”
I thought perhaps I knew his heart
for I also long for rain.

I stepped aside to block the light
and cast the vine in shade;
grateful for the brief respite,
he offered up a trade.
Cool, and green, he stretched his hand,

"You don't believe the same of me?" Satoru asked against Suguru's mouth.

"Hm?" Suguru said. He lifted his head so that they could gaze at each other. Suguru's brown eyes were so dilated that the honey-brown of the iris almost disappeared.

"You don't think I love you?"

Suguru's hips slowed to a halt. His eyes skidded away.

Hurt, Satoru gave a soft, choked scoff. "Suguru."

"There wasn't ever much in me worth loving," Suguru said, staring at the bedcovers beside Satoru's elbow rather than meeting his eyes. "And now I don't think there's anything at all."

Satoru's mouth opened in surprise, stunned speechless at the revelation that Suguru wasn't doubting Satoru's capacity for love: he was doubting his own worth.

A thousand moments from that summer flickered through Satoru's mind. Suguru's laughter. The glint in his eyes when Satoru hooked him into some mischief or conspiracy. His cleverness. His protectiveness. The care he took with Satoru in bed. The care he'd taken when Satoru had been injured. Satoru had never met anyone so worth loving. He found it difficult to imagine anyone more worth loving could ever exist.

"You don't have to—" Suguru started to say, evidently taking Satoru's silence as a condemnation, lifting up away from him.

"You could never change enough to make me stop loving you," Satoru blurted out, echoing Suguru's words.

His husband froze, startled and blinking.

"In all the universe," Satoru went on, softer, "there's nothing I love more than you."

I would kill or die for Larry

A small operation in Oregon that hunts truffles with a trained dog has added an unpaid trainee. A cat named Larry accompanies the handler and the truffle dog into the woods every outing, works a patch of ground a little apart from them, and digs with tremendous confidence in places where there is nothing.
The handler says Larry has never found a truffle and shows no sign of understanding the assignment. He does not use scent the way the dog does and he does not respond when the dog makes a find.
He simply digs his own holes nearby and then inspects them. "He thinks he's on the team," the handler said. "He is emphatically not on the team."

ALSO this is so great because another hc (that I'm not sure is canon or not at this point) is that Suguru was always broader than Satoru, albeit shorten, so his clothes are just the perfect size, you know, no need to wear them a couple of times before it sets nicely, instant perfect fit

bit of a cop-out since gege’s power system wasn’t fully calibrated in JJK0, but I’d like a better showing of WHY Geto was classified as special grade. his technique ends up so pivotal to the series and yet we don’t really see it, even in Kenjaku’s hands. to me it’s the greatest untapped goldmine
