He lifted a foot, found a hold, brought a hand up to the ledge, and tensed when his foot slipped. The ledge trembled. A dragging sound of rock on rock shredded the air, his foot dropped, and he nearly followed it before he found his feet on solid ground… about a meter higher than where the ground had been moments ago.
Satoru steadied himself and let his eyes drop down to the unnaturally smooth rock that now held his weight. It was dry with the start of condensation beginning to darken the grey material. He heard a tap against the rocks above him and Satoru jolted upward, the dragging of rock-on-rock that much louder.
As the rocks beneath his feet moved unnaturally beneath him, he listened to the sound of stone grinding on stone while Suguru shifted the mountain into place.
Was Suguru trying to seduce him? He certainly felt seduced.

“Woah. What, does the mountain just do what you want? Makes me wonder if Naiads can alter the path of a river if they want.”
He wasn’t brought all the way up to the ledge by the shifting stone, leaving a step for him to take. As he stood at his full height, Suguru did too. Stunned, Satoru blinked down at his feet with lips slightly parted and raised eyebrows.

'Geto Suguru has heard his whole life the story of how the Great White Snake God, Gojo-sama, saved his life on the day of his birth. He’s been raised to love the kami and believe in him despite no one else around recognizes such a deity existed. Suguru’s mom falls ill and he embarks on a journey to ask the kami for his help.

Suguru is met with many obstacles in the way only to find a dilapidated shrine with a huge tree growing right in the middle of it. On the tree there’s a white snake pinned with arrows. Suguru helps it down, unbeknownst to him, waking up the sealed White Snake God.'

“It’s okay. I’m here to help,” he repeats gently. The pups huddle closer together, soft whines escaping their forms. There is no way Geto can get close enough to free them of their shackles yet.

The pup with caramel-colored fur has a swollen face, while the dark-brown pup’s tail hangs limp. Both of them have several cuts along their tiny bodies.

The pups are clearly malnourished, on top of being abused. Who knows when they were taken, and how long they have been away from home. The thought alone makes Geto’s blood positively boil.

For a moment, it’s as if all his surroundings are engulfed in the color of his rage. Not red-hot or a blinding white, but a fiery, blue inferno. Alas, Geto has already settled the fates of the culprits directly responsible. He doesn’t want to scare the pups more than they already are.

Geto exhales with finality, and speaks in a soft tone.

“I’m going to bring you two back home,” he promises them."

"At first, Satoru wonders if it’s a trick of the moonlight—or if there is indeed a body bathing waist-deep in the cursed waters of Uzumaki Lake.

He isn’t sure. What could be flowing black hair pools down, dark and indistinguishable from the rest of the water. But when the bather bends over and begins combing through it with their fingers, he’s certain of the silvery sheen outlining the curve from their back to their buttocks.

All thoughts of swan hunting flutter away. Satoru cannot help himself. In place of an arrow, he reaches between his teeth and whistles loudly.

Instead of startling forward, the bather straightens up. Crane-like, they turn so their chin juts into a beak over one exposed shoulder. Both equally unabashed by the other, Satoru's grin turns into a crescent moon.

“Sorry! This lake’s supposed to be cursed. Wasn’t sure if you were some kind of creepy kappa or a beautiful bathing maiden.”

Laughter answers him back in ripples. “Neither.”

Slow as the water sloughing off his mystery bather’s skin, a pair of elegantly muscled thighs pass between the reeds and offer the Gojo prince a peek at why both of his assumptions had been incorrect.

“Oh.”

The bather chuckles again while he collects a few garments dangling over a nearby branch. Satoru clucks his tongue. A monk."
