Penny climbed up onto my lap this morning and demanded snuggles and skritches. After about 30 minutes of that, I lay down on the floor, and she crawled up on my chest, and we just cuddled awhile. This is a very blissful skunk #SkunkSky

Took the 16yo to Des Moines to see Bug Hunter and Narcissist Cookbook, and while I was familiar with and love Bug Hunter's oeuvre, Narcissist Cookbook was new to me, and I was absolutely blown away by the talent, empathy, and utter poetry of their work. Please enjoy my new favorite song!

Penny was such a good, brave girl at the vet yesterday. Turns out she has a knee injury, and for various Vet Reasons things like a splint or a cart are neither helpful nor practical, so her treatment plan is to get all doped up on gabapentin and lie around for a few days while it heals itself.

This is the story of an Extremely Naughty Kitty. Jibanyan is about 14 months old, and he has recently become obsessed with the air conditioning vents. It started when he figured out how to dislodge the vent covers, so he could dig out all the hair ties he’d bated in there over the past year
