The people buying into the Scaled Content Unicorn - mostly Web Devs and Indie hackers - are not going to give up. But neither is Google. My money is on Google. Their money is the bank accounts of domain registrars.

SEO used to be about so much more than just treating everything as spam. If web devs want to build "pSEO" + Scaled content, we can't stop them. Thats how humans work - millions of ants trying different ways to break down what they see as problems. I'm white-hat, not a fan. But this isn't SEO

Your daily and necessary reminder that EEAT is for YMYL and it is a tiny % of queries - not niches, not domains.

There's a superiority complex among Web Devs over SEOs.... there always has been but its getting worse. Its even evident within Google's liason team. They've been slowly alienating SEOs at a greater pace. Yet they're also visibly disconnected from the inner workings at Google.

000

Weblinkr @weblinkr.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

You know whats funny - some people think I'm rude about pointing out the clearly confusing situation about YMYL and EEAT. (Some at) Google is clearly relishing the confusion but people really are confused www.reddit.com/r/SEO/commen... And Google likes to back those they appoint as EEAT Envoys..

Amazing that MJMilian, the great connoisseur of TechSEO seems to have abandoned giving wildly mediocre SEO advice Meanwhile, 100 paragraphs a minute "BoGrumpus" keeps ramping out GEO waffle like nobodyies business Yes both are more helpful than PeterWhiteFanClub who's never helped anyone

This is the state of a beginner SEO on Reddit. Building a sitemap, "doing technical SEO" - i.e. not 404ing every page is now somehow "SEO" They even ask, specifically, do I need backlinks? Or should I wait. Waiting does nothing. Scrubbing authority from SEO is the problem
