There's a superiority complex among Web Devs over SEOs.... there always has been but its getting worse. Its even evident within Google's liason team. They've been slowly alienating SEOs at a greater pace. Yet they're also visibly disconnected from the inner workings at Google.

This is the state of a beginner SEO on Reddit. Building a sitemap, "doing technical SEO" - i.e. not 404ing every page is now somehow "SEO" They even ask, specifically, do I need backlinks? Or should I wait. Waiting does nothing. Scrubbing authority from SEO is the problem
