Took a quick look at how Google DeepMind (GDMI) is doing this year for the combined NWS basins AL/EP/CP. With the caveat that ECMWF is not in the data, GDMI for track blows everything else away, beating OFCL by 30% at 5 days! Nothing so dramatic for intensity, but still among the best guidance.

I was highly amused while riding on Amtrak last night. I wanted to see how fast we were traveling and the only way I could do it was with car directions. So here we are with the map showing directions, constantly rerouting to get me from the tracks to the road. Smooth 80 mph on the tracks!

I couldn’t figure out why my windows on my Mac constantly scrambled to other spaces when I woke my machine. Turns out there is a setting. Settings > Desktop & Dock > Mission Control > Automatically rearrange Spaces based on most recent use Turn that OFF! OMG - why is that even there!?!

Weird maybe, but we were social too! Two introverts sitting at a table being chatty with other Disney adults. Probably pretty good chances of that happening, but it was nice!

Mt Rainier viewed from the summit of Crystal Mountian is the closest of 3 volcanos in the picture. There is a near by mountain peak which separates Mt Adams on the left, and peaking to the right is a difficult to see Mt St Helens.

Bird at the top of the tree was very chatty, and was getting bread and whatnot from the picnic tables at the summit. The bird was beautifully fluffy, lots of floof to keep it warm in the shade and at night in the cold climate - which was not cold today!

Sunset on the drive home as some high clouds came in over Seattle.

Right now, I don’t even know what to think. Started with a Heltec v3, got a flag pole, new 5dbi antenna and it was working great. Even pulled down some height - still great, but needed solar. Went with Sense Cap P1 Pro Solar for an all in one solution. #MeshCore

Put the new #MeshCore radio up last night. It’s currently catching the rays while I am over here waiting on the adapter to show up to put the bigger antenna on it. Unfortunately the antenna replacement is a MUST. Can’t seem to reach other near by repeaters without it, regardless of height.

Got a new solar node, and I thought everything I needed to put it up with my current antenna. Now I wait for the correct adapter to put it up. Tomorrow isn’t terrible, but that means I really can’t play with my setup today, other than watching the solar charge. It’s a bummer. #MeshCore.
