Also good grief why do I keep choosing scenes with unusual colour palettes, lol. I keep having to figure out how to mix wonky colours with my posca markers 🥲

A snapshot of the progress of the Big Green ChuChu boss from The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap, showing the boss leering eerily at the viewer, the looming entrance to their lair firmly shut in the background.

The camera looks down from the vantage of the artist at their hands, fingers marred with ink from an ill-fated pen refill operation.

“The making of” the prior shot, showing Wanda in the foreground looking like a horrifying, smeared thumb-beast; their girlfriend’s hand partially obscures the camera as she looms blurrily in the background.

Just discovered this fellow through the IG algo; followed him on TT as well cuz his music is such a vibe!! Was just listening to his most recent album up on YouTube music, Never Stop, earlier today while out on a walk 🚶 He's got more excellent music linked from his personal site! bjokib.com/music/

Moral of the story: if you have a vision for a picture, make sure you map out the perspective first. This is why I always draw silly little figures and abstract shapes and avoid backgrounds like the plague 🥲

Driving myself a lil bit crazy with what should have been a simple one-point perspective. I had a picture in my mind, shifting from the isometric view of The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap to more of a head-on vantage, but when trying to solidify the lines it’s all so complicated hnnnnnghhhh 😭 #art

I also put the finishing touches on another #poscamarker piece, some #fanart of Tuya from The Prince of Egypt inspired by my re-watch of the movie with @calcytron.bsky.social on our great Gibsons adventure ❤️ #posca #poscabrush #acrylicmarker #acrylicpaint

A Posca marker painting of a still from the animated film The Prince of Egypt, fan art of the Queen of Egypt, Tuya, holding baby Moses. She cradles him in her arms, and the infant's hand reaches up towards her face. She is wearing a sheer garment that allows the warm ambient light to shine through the delicate folds of fabric.

I was inspired by my #Poscabrush markers to try to create scale patterns; although I only roughly referred to #snake references, I'm quite chuffed with the result (granted, #Poscamarkers are better suited to cell-shading!) #posca #acrylicpaint

A Posca marker painting of a loosely-coiled snake floating in a void. Their forked tongue tastes the air in front of them as their unsettling gaze regards the viewer.

Pictures inspired by the movies we’ve watched today: Balto (The Bear, top left), The Prince of Egypt (Moses’ dogs, bottom right), the extended cut of the fellowship of the Ring (a horse inspired by those of the black riders, although totally different energy; top right). Also, Calcytron’s dog Mizu takin’ a deuce in the bottom left.

But it was *faster* to spin up a *fresh* Fedora 44 vm, sudo dnf install gcc 16.2.1, then build the executable and reproduce the issue. HNNNNNNGHHH computers r hard. Also, I came up with a new diminutive for my computer when I said "I might need to leave my compu-pu on all night to finish this build"

Spent HOURS of my life trying to compile gcc 16.2.0 from the release tarball (after trying to find the 16.2.1 tag to checkout on the repo and coming up with bupkiss) on Debian 13 (default gcc is 14.2.0), where the make command keeps failing in new and spectacular ways (don't even know what -fPIE is)

Alas, “the duality of person” just doesn’t have the same ring to it 😭

Wanda, a 37 year old nonbinary person wearing a Ralph Lauren poncho sweater gifted to them by a friend of their girlfriend, stares wistfully into the middle distance, their lips slightly parted and gaze soft. Their hands are braced on their hips, and their weight is mostly on their left leg.

Wanda, a 37 year old nonbinary person wearing a Ralph Lauren poncho sweater gifted to them by a friend of their girlfriend, strikes a ridiculous pose: their arms are thrust skyward, brandishing peace signs, and their shoulders are bunched up to their ears. They are squatting slightly, legs akimbo, and they have a ridiculous yet earnest look of jubilation on their face.

“Why am I like this” seems to be my catchphrase when it comes to crafting massive pull requests because I just can’t help but to fix things “while I’m in the neighbourhood” loooool LOOK, I KEEP MY COMMITS ATOMIC AND PRs FOCUSED MOST OF THE TIME. OK MAYBE LIKE 42% OF THE TIME. FUCK.

The text from part of a pull request I’m working on:

“- planarity/full/g6IterationUtils.pyx -first pass to update docstrings with new cross-referencing notation... in particular, look at class docstring for G6WriteIterator referencing Graph !!! (I was in here already cuz I had to fix some cython-lint warnings, so figured I'd do this while in the neighbourhood. Why am I like this.)”

2/3 … stemming from the anchor points (plus a bunch of ouchies from the tracking being off so early into treatment). Needless to say, it’s totally sucked the fun out of eating.
