Reading the companies' arguments for why they shouldn't be liable is ironic. In a sane world those same arguments would be why they *should* be liable. Harm is harm. Doesn't matter if it happens at the local or global level.

Most gamers basically have 0 willpower. I learned the lesson back in the CoD days when the steam CoD boycott group had like 95% of its members playing the new CoD on day 1. The gaming companies know this and they act accordingly. People need to abandon what they love to ironically save it.

I'll never understand why people have such trouble boycotting a video game. It's not like there's a physical aspect to it you can't escape, like a restaurant or grocery store or something where it's the only thing close to you - it's a digital item, and you have hundreds, thousands of other choices.
