It's been three years since the horrific October 7th terror attack by Hamas against Israel. This day remains a painful time for so many who still need hope and healing, particularly the hundreds who were held hostage.

When Democrats and activists put a spotlight on ICE's gross misconduct, it leads to change. We must keep the pressure on to end ICE cruelty for good.

Congress needs to have the back of America’s farmers. I just introduced a bipartisan bill to make sure the crops that fuel American families are protected from extreme weather threats. We need every tool to help farmers recover from natural disasters.

So glad to join FLoatarama's LGBTQ Youth Awards! Each dollar awarded builds a more welcoming, inclusive community, and ensures our kids get the support they deserve. Everyone must be able to live authentically with the same rights and freedom all Americans enjoy.

Democrats are shining a spotlight on cruelty and massive waste of taxpayer dollars at Florida's ICE facilities. We forced them to shut down Alligator Alcatraz and improve conditions in Miramar, and we won't stop there. I'll keep fighting to end ICE cruelty.

Glad to join Mayor Dean Trantalis and Fort Lauderdale residents at this year's State of the City address! The city’s progress in the past year, from public safety to infrastructure, is impressive. I look forward to working with the Mayor and City Commission in the year ahead!

A whistleblower told us that ICE detained hundreds of people in a garage and chained them overnight in Miramar, flagrantly violating a court order banning them from holding people longer than 12 hours. This treatment—without due process—is torture. We must keep fighting back.

This #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth, join me in honoring breast cancer fighters, survivors, their families and caregivers. As a survivor myself, I want to remind you to please get an annual screening. It's our best tool for saving lives. It may save yours.

Glad to join Chief Schultz at the new Fort Lauderdale police headquarters and learn how the new facility helps them better serve the city. I'll always ensure first responders have what they need to keep Broward safe, like the $1M I secured for a public safety training facility.

When a constituent calls with a problem, it's usually the most important thing they're dealing with in their life. If you're a constituent having trouble with a federal agency, contact my office and we'll help you cut through red tape.

Instead of demanding elections in Venezuela, Trump is stealing their oil, propping up Delcy, and subjecting law-abiding Venezuelans to brutality and torture. We must restore TPS to protect our neighbors from this Trump-backed regime & fight for a real democratic transition.

DeSantis and his cronies stuffed human beings in a tiny cage called "the Box" at Alligator Alcatraz—and lied to Congress about this state-sanctioned, taxpayer-funded torture. Now, the truth is out. I'll keep fighting to hold them accountable for this cruelty.

When I was cancer-free, I found solace in making wholesome meals. What started as a way to reduce my cancer recurrence risks quickly became a healthy habit. Thank you to Moffitt Cancer Center for helping survivors see how clean cooking aids their survivorship journey.

Great to meet with @americancancersoc.bsky.social to discuss research and prevention programs. As a cancer survivor, I know how critical new resources, treatments and early screenings are to beat it. I'll always fight for them in Congress.

Trump says he opposes communism, but seizes private businesses, surveils Americans, sends armed thugs door to door, and props up a socialist dictatorship in Venezuela. My constituents fled communist countries. They've seen this playbook before.

I led Florida Democrats in demanding answers on the use of cages, an act of torture, as a punishment in the Everglades ICE internment camp. There must be accountability for this atrocious treatment of our Florida neighbors. We can enforce our laws without abandoning human dignity.

Trump's failure in Iran has emboldened the Houthis. Now, Red Sea shipping is at risk while the Strait of Hormuz stays closed. This strategic disaster hurts our economy and empowers Iran's proxies. Americans are paying the price every day. When will Republicans speak up?

Instead of pushing for elections and ending corruption in Venezuela, Trump and Rubio cut a deal to prop up the regime and enrich their billionaire donors by robbing Venezuela's natural resources. This is a slap in the face to Venezuelans. We must stop this corrupt oil deal.

Today in 1957 the Little Rock Nine bravely tried to integrate all-white Central High School, escorted by federal troops. We owe so much to the heroic children and civil rights lions like Daisy Lee Gatson Bates who led area segregation fights. So proud to honor her in our Capitol.
