Glad to join Chief Schultz at the new Fort Lauderdale police headquarters and learn how the new facility helps them better serve the city. I'll always ensure first responders have what they need to keep Broward safe, like the $1M I secured for a public safety training facility.

So proud that my EARLY Act passed the Senate last night! This bill will continue to help young women and those at higher risk catch breast cancer early, and improve their chances of beating it. As a breast cancer survivor, I know how critical early detection is.

Instead of demanding elections in Venezuela, Trump is stealing their oil, propping up Delcy, and subjecting law-abiding Venezuelans to brutality and torture. We must restore TPS to protect our neighbors from this Trump-backed regime & fight for a real democratic transition.

Add this to Trump’s endless list of illegal actions: killing $1 billion in Congressionally approved funding. Again Trump targets minority community funds, health research and schools. Republicans in Congress must decide if they will let this cruelty continue. I’ll fight it.

DeSantis and his cronies stuffed human beings in a tiny cage called "the Box" at Alligator Alcatraz—and lied to Congress about this state-sanctioned, taxpayer-funded torture. Now, the truth is out. I'll keep fighting to hold them accountable for this cruelty.

When I was cancer-free, I found solace in making wholesome meals. What started as a way to reduce my cancer recurrence risks quickly became a healthy habit. Thank you to Moffitt Cancer Center for helping survivors see how clean cooking aids their survivorship journey.

September is Sickle Cell Awareness Month, a reminder that millions of Americans carry the sickle cell trait, with African Americans and Hispanic Americans most at risk. I'll always fight to secure vital medical research funding to develop new treatments and cures.

Trump cut $7.5 billion in SNAP and healthcare investments for Floridians so he can fund ICE cruelty. That's over half a million people who will lose insurance, 33,000 jobs lost, and 9 hospitals closed. I'm fighting to ensure tax dollars make life more affordable, not less.

Trump says he opposes communism, but seizes private businesses, surveils Americans, sends armed thugs door to door, and props up a socialist dictatorship in Venezuela. My constituents fled communist countries. They've seen this playbook before.

Trump's tariffs, Iran war, reckless policies and corruption keep driving up costs, by an average of: 🏡$833 more for housing ⛽️$699 extra on gas 🔌$110 for electricity 🍲$310 in grocery costs Trump gets richer, but American families get stuck with the higher bills.

SCOTUS wisely blocked Trump’s USPS scheme to block mail-in ballots, but his other goal was to shake voters' faith in a popular voting method. Courts must still stop his push to enact it in 2028. We must relentlessly defend voting rights.

Instead of pushing for elections and ending corruption in Venezuela, Trump and Rubio cut a deal to prop up the regime and enrich their billionaire donors by robbing Venezuela's natural resources. This is a slap in the face to Venezuelans. We must stop this corrupt oil deal.

Today in 1957 the Little Rock Nine bravely tried to integrate all-white Central High School, escorted by federal troops. We owe so much to the heroic children and civil rights lions like Daisy Lee Gatson Bates who led area segregation fights. So proud to honor her in our Capitol.

62 years ago, President Johnson signed the Food Stamp Act of 1964 into law. It turned this once temporary nutrition program into a permanent safety net in the War on Poverty. Now Republicans assault SNAP, and families are going hungry. I'll always fight to end hunger.
