Weapon (greataxe, Very Rare requires attunement by a Grave Domain Cleric
This well-worn steel shovel is blessed by Kelemvor, the Lord of the Dead and Judge of the Damned. Only a handful of his most reliable clerics were gifted this splintered spade after completing many duties in his name: tending to the last wishes of the dying, providing burial services, and most importantly, weakening undeath in all its various forms.
You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this weapon. Additionally, you are considered proficient with this greataxe even if you lack proficiency with martial weapons. When you hit a creature with this shovel, you choose whether the damage dealt is slashing if the attack is made with its cutting edge, or bludgeoning if you hit it with the back of the shovel's blade.
Funerary Adept. While you are attuned to this weapon, you learn the mold earth cantrip. Additionally, your maximum Hit Points cannot be lowered by spells or other magical effects.
Any corpse buried by this weapon, that is not in an advanced state of decomposition, can't be raised as an undead, unless it is targeted by a dispel magic spell cast at 4th level or higher.
Deathly Vigor When you expend your action to use your Channel Divinity ability, you can make an attack with this weapon as a bonus action. On a hit, the creature receives an extra 1d8 necrotic damage, and you gain a number of temporary Hit Points equal to the necrotic damage dealt.
No Rest for the Wicked. Whenever you hit an undead creature with this shovel, the target has disadvantage on attack rolls against you, and on Wisdom saving throws until the start of your next turn.

I saw this “draw your #Emmrook this way” MONTHS ago it was so perfect for him and my Rook, Laelia. I finally got around to it as my Christmas present to myself. 🎁 I’ll share the reference and the timelapse in the replies ~ | #DragonAge | #Emmrich | #Nixmoriarty |

It's genuinely sad. I want people to learn! I want them to truly realize when they've erred, and to do better thereafter. It's one reason I sought counseling myself: to change. But you have to actually feel the disappointment in yourself to do that and change. Not displace it. Actually feel it.

The backtracking in the screenshots makes it clear his apologies cannot be trusted: he still thinks he's the victim, and anyone who claims to have been hurt or disrespected by him is the true villain. Disappointing to see such stereotypical splitting and guilt displacement from a counselor-to-be!

#TavQOTD Does your Tav have any siblings? What's their relationship like? For my last duo run with @wardenthorne.bsky.social we made our characters siblings! Fricket (my rogue/ranger) grew up with Scrap (their durge necro wizard) and considered her and was reasonably close before he left home.

Percy... I don't know. I think Percy is calloused and just, like, resigned enough that things hurt or make him scared but he just whiteknuckles through. It won't be until he starts opening up to Halsin that he admits he's just been waiting to die since he started mercenary work thirty years ago.

I think Scrap is... oddly well-adjusted, for a post-game resist Durge. Helping Karlach carve her way through Avernus is really helps Scrap work through some of her own being-controlled-by-evil traumas. She still has nightmares, but Karlach wakes her up when they're bad, and that helps.

Hammerhead feels being controlled or people she loves being controlled/taken away. It only sinks in after the game how close to losing herself entirely she was, thanks to the tadpole, & has a lot of nightmares about it. She and Shadowheart do a lot of long late night talking about their bad dreams.
