Walto Quest update: figured out how to add new tilesets & started messing around with battles. The biggest issue is the fact that victory fanfares r classified as a music effects rather than BGM in RPG Maker MZ, which means it won't loop. The theme I made does. There's a plugin to fix it but it's $8

Another Walto Quest update: been slowly but steadily chipping away at the soundtrack between other projects. Just finished a draft of the new battle theme. I also implemented the first set of custom sprites last night! I also made a character base so I don't need to draw up everyone from scratch

I still need to learn RPG Maker but I imagine the curve shouldn't be too steep. I wanna spend a day just watching tutorials I'm constantly having new ideas! I'm really excited to get to work, I just want to be able to focus on it and nothing else for a period to get it off the ground

UPDATE: I've figured out what was causing it... for some reason, FL Studio's "wrap remainder" function on export disables Vital's effects???? I can't imagine why that would be, but I figured it might be good to know Thank you for responding originally by the way!

More info: it is all effects. The only option it's giving me that's related to MIDI assignment is "Learn MIDI assignment" which doesn't seem to do anything at all. I didn't have any automation or midi control tied to anything other than the track volume

Hey @vital.audio, any ideas on how I could fix this? In FL Studio, instances of Vital will export without their effects occasionally. Reloading the plugin and preset or doing anything else in that vein doesn't seem to work. Here's a comparison between the audio before & after export:

The main thing that stopped me from getting started on this ages ago is the fact that I didn't think I could do all the art alone, but I've finally made a friend whom I trust enough with my visions to accept their help. Here's hoping we'll have a bit of actual game to show for it in a couple months

To make up for my relative scarcity here, I'll probably use bluesky as the exclusive home of development updates for a while. I don't want too terribly many people knowing about this until it gets a little further off the ground. But I'm really determined to make it a reality!

Update: many concepts are happening! A few songs have been made/remastered, and I've recruited a few people to help where I felt necessary. As far as actual development goes, I'm planning for it to be in RPG Maker MZ, which I will learn as soon as I have a few consecutive days to fully devote to it
