It was suppose to be a follow up of this one, a group of Underdogs stealing from this bad corporation owning this town.

Giant chimneys are populating the town.
A scene is happening, a character with a top hat is holding a rope connected to a rooftop with his comrades holding the same rope.
On the rooftop a woman, probably one of the owner of the town, is talking with workers, she hold a contract in one hand and a lamp in the other.

Doing a rewatch of The Leftovers, the way they embrace absurdity in season 2 was such an enhancement from season 1, which was already excellent. Like breaking the whole mood with Iris Dement's Let The Mystery Be opening. It is my second watch and it might be even better than the first one.

When i say the costumes were great though... I mean really great. Mica Kayde deserve an oscar for those. The color, the texture, how they interact with the environment. I wonder if it's not my favorite thing from the movie.

The Backrooms was well shot, acting on point(costumes department was stunning), just felt the story wasn't very compelling. I wonder if i don't prefer Backrooms as it is, a creepy pasta from the internet that belong to the people and no one else.

Always loved Sam Neill as an actor and human, many interviews were he was open with his struggles and show vulnerability. Remembering one where he talks about impostor syndrome that i still think about quite often. Great actor and human, RIP.
