Lukewarm take incoming: I don’t begrudge people who like pineapple pizza. It’s meh, but not the abomination it’s made out to be. I wouldn’t pay for one, but might have a slice if offered My issue is that it renders pizza useless as a leftover. Not good cold and a reheated pineapple is just gross.

Might sound crazy after their run last year, but I believe trading LaMelo was addition by subtraction. As Knicks fans who just saw their team win a chip after a couple of decades of serious un-seriousness, we can attest to the importance of culture. Hornets can now start building one.

I like Amen, but he needs to add either shooting or ballhandling for that contract to be worth it. Or for there to be a big jump in salary cap/apron reform. Not holding my breath regarding the handles or cap restrictions (at least not before the CBA expires) so hope he’s working on that jumper.

Rewatched game 1 vs Cavs. Brunson was clearly the hero, but Shamet is the reason Knicks won. Not even talking about his late 3 that bounced all over the rim. When he was subbed in down 22 with 7:50, he changed the tone with his defense and got the crowd back with his 3s. Almost all Shamet.

Losing Mitch sucks, but I accepted that fact long ago. Honestly, Shamet was my biggest concern and we got him back on a really nice deal. In the long history of the Knicks, having a backup center be your biggest need is still a breath of fresh air.
