We need to talk about monopolies. This are real usage data from Germany, no MAU BS. There is no levelplaying field. Meta account for 82% of usage time. Bluesky accounts for 0.1%, and Threads and Mastodon account for < 0.05%. The numbers are indeed very, very bad!

In addition to being a legendary designer, Susan Kare is evidently responsible for the fact that confirmation buttons say "OK" instead of... "Do It" "We definitely changed "Do It" to "OK", because 'Do It' was a little off-color, and people read it as 'dolt'"

I sliced my thumb open pretty bad a few weeks ago doing something very stupid and it looks mostly healed now (no scab left etc) but it still hurts or tingles quite a lot. I'm wondering if it healed with some junk inside the wound now.
