Yay, I'm chatting with a techie at Bluehost to try and fix my hosted email woes. The techie just told me to keep messaging every 4-5 minutes in the window to keep from getting disconnected. Pretty sure there's an automated service that would break us up if I didn't. Isn't technology grand?

Runemaster would make a totally perfect spec for Monks in WoW, they could just rename and re-icon a bunch of powers into a non-Pandaren version. They should totally retcon the Scarlet Enclave monks into those, give it Light lore right from the get-go. Especially if you can connect monks to shamans.

Beckett Mariner is definitely this type, but I'm also thinking about Miles Vorkosigan, where family connections helped him exceed societal restrictions due to his handicaps, and he actually proves to be exceptionally capable in select roles/jobs that wouldn't be relevant in the regular system.

Okay, hear me out: 2D animated comedy/adventure, like Lower Decks, set in Eberron, explicitly. As with LD, it's a comedic take on a wider, serious-stories world. Eberron can allow itself to have fun with one-off jokes, while respecting the wider canon as something not founded in farce.

I’ve been wearing these boots for less than a week, and the zipper-backing sidewall rips out. I’m gonna have to cut this whole segment out with scissors, before it jams the zipper teeth like it did on the last pair. (I had an identical pair of the same boots worn for 3-4 years.)

It increases awareness. Because every action has a source vector that helps to define not just the active effect but the intended effect. You have to know where someone is coming from, to know where they want to be going, and to help them achieve it, or keep them FROM it, when that may harm.

The thing that you’re missing is that while the message itself can be true, that doesn’t make it good for the situation it’s being delivered in. True information delivered at the wrong time by the wrong person with ill intent and be just as damaging as an outright lie. Context always matters.

I call BS. There is always a situation where the informer can make a good thing bad, or a bad thing good. There’s always an external context that can invert a situation from good to bad or bad to good. That is an outright fact of reality, IMO. Political ideas are in no way immune to this.

You are very wrong, because to understand information, you also have to understand WHO is saying it and WHY they say it. So the identity of the source matters very much. Even fully truthful information can be delivered in a way that harms others. YOU are enabling that potential harm right now.
