I haven't quite finished yet (need to do the legs, tail, and eyes) but I have been learning to crochet this wombat, so perfect share for #SundayPixWobjects Project cry count: 4, but only 2 hysterically, and one of those was when the yarn got all tangled so I'm not sure it counts.

When it was finished i told him it had come out a little more abstract than i intended , but i loved how the colours blended in the sky. Then, when he asked to see it, I showed him this: #SundayPixPictures

Very rough and blobby painting made with children's poster paint on an A4 piece of paper. Primary blue, red and yellow stripes make up the sky, rough brown lines and blobby red flags dominate. It looks like it was painted by a child of around 4. It was painted with my left hand, in about 3 minutes.

I painted this a while ago, because i needed something to go over my sofa and buying a big canvas unpainted was cheaper 😁 I'm still not sure I like it, and at least once a month i toy with the idea of painting over it with a landscape instead. It's safe for now, because I'm lazy #SundayPixPictures

Started a new sketchbook on friday, which was pretty good timing for this theme. I really need to work on hands. And proportions. But i get joy from the drawing, not the looking at the pics after. #SundayPixPictures

A selection of some of my book horde for #SundayPixBooks When I grow up my house will be a library with a bed in it.

The too two shelves of my built in bookshelf. Each sehlf has two rows of books on it, the bottom shelf also has a stack at each end. Also on the shelf are an antique mantle clock (stopped at 4pm), and a statue of a horse painted by my then 6 year old in surprisingly realistic colours. On the shelf above is a curved glass photo frame containing pics from my wedding, and at each end there is a stone gargoyle, both different but each picking their nose

A freestanding bookshelf, mostly containing pratchett books, but also with some reference books, a few biographies, and books on ancient mythology. There are some tealights on the shelves, a devotional to Aphrodite with a small brass statue, a tealight in the shape of a flower, and a chunk of rose quartz on a small silver platter, a pile of rocks, and a small wooden car made by my then 11 year old. On top of the shelves is a red biscuit tin shaped like a double decker bus, and a devil's ivy plant that tumbles down over the edge of the shelf.

A double height row of booksnon the floor below my built in shelves. These are mostly random non fiction books on the bottom row, including books on parenting, political reference books, how to books like dressmaking reference books and encyclopedia. Ok the row above are some fantasy books, including a lot of books by David Eddings.

A triple row of books, with some jars on the end of the shelf and a red china pig acting as a book end for the tiny bit of space left on the third row of books. This shelf is mostly fantasy, with some witchcraft books thrown in. The shelf contains Tolkien, Garth Nix, Michael Wombat, Miranda Kate, and my own books, as well as the proof copy of A Guide to Digital Accessibility that I helped put together for the author, Sassy Wyatt.

My (super talented and awesome) daughter needed a planner but couldn't find one that met her needs, so she made her own and I'm so impressed! It's over 400 pages, so it lasts a year but can be started any time because you write the date in yourself, and it is soo pretty, look

#SundayPixFlame I've forgotten what this was for. An offering to Persephone, probably. Maybe at Halloween? 🤔 I took a picture because I loved the play of light on the pomegranate.

Tomorrow we say goodbye to my beloved companion, Charlie. We got him as a very sickly 14 week old who was terrified of people, and he leaves us a happy and well loved 17 year old senior dog. I'm so grateful I got to be his person, and i will miss him.

Charlie the dog as a 6 month old pup. He is outside, on a lead, and there is some snow on the ground, so he is wearing a santa themed dog jacket, red with white fur trim. This contrasts with his black fur. He dislikes wearing clothes, but was recovering from the severe mange he had when we got him, and was fairly bald on his belly and back. He is a small, floppy eared dog, but broad chested, a mongrel with some staffie and some labrador in him. He is sitting next to me, patiently waiting to see if the person off camera intends to share their sausage sandwich.

Charlie is older in this picture, around 10 years old, and is standing and looking past the camera, at a fence behind, where a pigeon has caught his attention. His coat is now glossy, and jet black, and covers him completely so he has no need for clothes. A touch of white is creeping into his beard. He is standing in an area of garden he has decided is his personal digging area, so the earth is bare, loose and crumbly.

A sixteen year old Charlie, looking smaller than in the previous picture, sits on one of his many floor cushions, this particular one is under the kitchen counter. He is gazing up at the camera in a wistful way, because I'm holding a biscuit he is hoping will be for him. His entire muzzle is white, as are his eyebrows.

Seventeen (almost) year old Charlie sleeps in a patch of sunshine on the living room carpet. His muzzle is white and the fur on his chest and legs is thinning, but the rest of his coat is still black, and glossy. He is content and in his happy place.
