I mean if Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma counts as a horror film then Donna Lewis' I Love You Always Forever counts as my favourite song from one. Is that a spoiler? It might be a spoiler. Sorry. But you really should have seen Camp Miasma by now. If you haven't, fix that shit.

Can't think of others at the moment but the first one that comes to mind is Placebo's cover of Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill.

Might as well do my 9 games. Prince of Persia is the much disliked 2008 version. Not enough room for Everybody's Gone to the Rapture. my9games.com/en/edit

I don't understand the whole thing about there being "too much" of something, for example trick taking games. If you don't like them... you don't have to buy or play them. How is having more trick takers for those that enjoy them a bad thing? Go forth & make more trick takers! End rant.

Are there too many roll'n'writes? Are there too many cosy games? Are there too many minis games? Are there too many kickstarters? Who cares. We're figuring it out, maybe slowly but we are still a cottage industry in comparison to many others.

Does that mean every game is great? Not at all. Does it mean we don't potentially face more challenges in publishing, manufacturing & distribution? Of course not. But accessibility is key. Fresh voices are one of the most important things in any creative environment, it benefits players as much.

I don't find these sorts of classifications useful but years ago, when discussing "the Golden Age of Board Games™", a little community & I called it at 2013. You know when the golden age of board games is? Right now. It will always be right now. Games & design are only becoming more accessible...

This is a great video from Noclip, the next two episodes on Thatgamecompany should be just as good. Flower was one of the most influential games that helped change my outlook on what video games could be. It's one of my all time favourite games.

I love that David Lynch sat with a cow to do his "For your consideration" campaign to get Oscars votes for Laura Dern.

Mulholland Drive, now widely considered one of the very best films of the 2000-aughts, was just not an Oscar-bait kind of film at the time. Though it snagged a directing nomination for David Lynch, Naomi Watts's virtuoso performance was ignored; I think she'd have won if she'd been on the ballot.

In other news, I've started William Gibson's Neuromancer again & seem to be in the mood for reading rather than playing video games but I'm sure (sure...) I'll find the time for both. Really loving Neuromancer again, been years since I read it last.

I'm pretty much loving it, just so busy at the moment. There are big differences between Resonant & Control but I remind myself that they're different games with different objectives & it's fine.

So. My PC has done this twice, mind you the first time was like 3 years ago I think. Basically it shits itself & when I reboot, I get the RAM warning light on the motherboard. I remove the RAM & plug it back in & hey presto it works. Any ideas why this would be happening?

I will be breaking my year-long abstinence from video games to play Control Resonant. The first Control is one of my favourite games ever.
