the CV demo's dialogue is pretty bad and the game feels more indie metroidvania than castlevania but it's like. fine. I probably won't play it on release but it's mostly just apathy. the new bloodstained will be far more to my taste

You see you spin them to scroll horizontally or vertically, as a more fine tuned scrolling that the normal button + ball scroll. Furthermore, holding the left one down makes the ball do gestures. Holding the right one makes the knobs control the volume. Why must my fav trackball be named that.

I genuinely don’t say this to be elitist but I can only hear the RPG equivalent of “you have to shoot too much in Mega Man” or “Mario makes you jump too much” so many times. that’s a 1:1 analogy of what’s going on here and I can’t help but roll my eyes

Too many people simply don’t engage with mechanics when it comes to this genre so anything with any challenge or resource management is looked down on. Just ask people in this camp how many times it’s acceptable to lose to a boss, nevermind a regular encounter. I won’t though, I don’t wanna hear it
