Local resistance. That’s what will stop the cycle of reckless development in Virginia. I didn’t win my election, but there’s still a fight to be had. I’m in it with you, and for you.

An industry that fails to provide basic answers to basic questions has no business expanding data center business in Virginia. It’s time to hold Big Tech accountable.

I was 8 years during Columbine. I was also a 12 minute drive away. This was before lockdowns. Before active shooter drills. Nobody knew what to do yet. All I remember is police everywhere. I’m proud to be a gun sense candidate. There have to be limits. And some limits can't be up for negotiation.

VA01 Democratic candidate @votetimva.com announces his first endorsement: Chesterfield’s Clover Hill District Supervisor Jessica Schneider bluevirginia.us/2026/06/with... cc: @wittmanwatch.bsky.social
"Our first endorsement, and it means everything 🙌
Jessica Schneider of Chesterfield’s Clover Hill District is in our corner.
Supervisor Schneider didn’t come up through politics, she came up through service. Seven years volunteering in her community before she ever ran for office. Four years leading her neighborhood. A seat on the YMCA board. A therapy dog she brings to hospital patients every single week 💙.
She ran for office because her community was being ignored and nobody in power was listening. She fought back anyway. She won.
That’s the kind of leader who gets it. I could not be more thankful for this." - Tim Cywinski

You don't have to be part of a vulnerable community to fight with them. The one group I should have mentioned but didn’t, is people with disabilities. They know what it’s like to be ignored, overlooked, and discriminated against too. I refuse to be a rep who forgets about anyone. Dignity for all.

Some thoughts on the significance of this holiday.
A picture with a logo for Tim Cywinski for Congress and a description of why Tim believe Juneteenth is significant. It reads: REMEMBERING THE PROMISE OF JUNETEENTH
Juneteenth marks the day in 1865 when the last enslaved people in Texas finally learned they were free. It was two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
It took another 156 years for it to become a federal holiday.
We are still waiting to see if this nation can deliver the equality promised on Juneteenth. And the progress gained, often paid for in blood, is under threat now.
Nobody's rights should wait on someone else's timing. And it's up to all of us to turn what was promised into what's real.
We celebrate this day to mark how far we've come. We remember its significance to remind us how far we have left to go.

Data centers are unpopular for good reason: they drink all our water, raise our electric bills, and pollute our communities. But don't worry. They also don't create long term jobs. Meanwhile in Virginia: give them a $1.9 billion tax break or we shut down the government.

Make Big Tech pay for the energy data centers consume. No more passing the bill to families choosing between electricity on or food. Data centers get a $1.6 billion tax break in Virginia while driving up your electric bill to power their servers. They get the break. You foot the bill. No more.

Invest in small businesses through a Main Street Fund — direct government investment to restore real competition. Because the best way to keep prices honest is to make sure no single company can set them.

Break up monopolies in food and medicine. Four companies control 85% of beef processing. A handful control most of what's on your grocery shelf. When that few companies control that much, they can charge whatever they want. Customers lose influence because we lost choice.

Cut taxes for working families. Not corporations. Not the wealthy. The people keeping this economy running. How do we pay for it? Make corporations and the wealthy pick up the tab for once. They've had the breaks long enough.

Everyone's talking about affordability. Nobody's saying what it actually means. It's not complicated. You either put more money in people's pockets — or you bring prices down. That's it. Those are the only two options. Here's how I'd actually do both. 👇

Bipartisan collaboration is great. Coordinating and unity within our party is even better. But you have to start with a vision. Mine is dignity for all. No exceptions. I’ll fight like hell to get there — and yes, that includes going against my own party if I have to.

When fiscal policy in the United States values corporate greed more than hard work, the result is more income inequality and a social security system running dry. It’s time to flip the script. I appreciate the King William Dems for inviting me. I’ll see you again soon.

I didn’t run for office to play it safe or hide my beliefs. We don’t have to appear moderate to flip this seat. We have to be unafraid to listen, evens if to those we disagree with, and find common ground. That’s what representation looks like, and it’s something Wittman will never understand.

I met Lewis a handful of times. He’s a good man who unabashedly believed that a better future for the 1st is possible. He’s also kind. These are qualities of a man who embraces the true nature of public service. I know he won’t stop fighting. And we’re better off because of it.
