Heute jährt sich der Todestag des heiligen Franz von Assisi zum 800. Mal. Deshalb möchte ich mit euch diesen Wandteppich, den meine Großmutter gemacht hat (sie hat vor dem Krieg Kunst studiert, ihr Professor gehörte zur Brücke und galt den Nazis als „entartet“) teilen

Today I went up to the old Alaric castle ruin of Moux (the first older castle, a second younger one is hidden in the local houses in the village centre. I bought a fancy KaWeCo clutch pencil made out of brass. The integrated sharpener broke, so I wrote to the manufacturers support. Who not only sent me a replacement part but also this lovely little note and I have to say, this makes all the difference. Thank you Christiane of KaWeCo!

A cable (usually electricity) that is put into/unto the surface of a stone wall with plaster over it. One cannot remove it later without creating a huge mess. This is how we do sockets and everything. Unter = below Putz = plaster Kabel = cable Coincidentally I took a photo of it today

What Germany really needs to improve electric mobility in cities. Because the best mobility is micro mobility. It is on the market place that features a fountain and not far from a cafe and a bakery so one can sit in comfort and wait Von den Niederlanden lernen, bedeutet, Mobilität zu lernen.

Historically it is as a poor people’s food because buckwheat is not a cereal like wheat which were taxed in the ancien régime. It tastes a bit nutty and that goes very well with cheese, ham and eggs. Here is one I made myself in Brittany but I didn’t have the proper tools so it’s a bit thick
