For Mermay, behold the boobtopus! Here a rather young specimen. (I'll be posting a bunch of MerMay related images in the coming weeks, a lot of them will contain nude breasts, if you don't want to see them I recommend you mute my #MutantMaids tag.) #MerMay #MutandMaids #nudity #breasts
a square format cartoon of an octopus-like creature looking directly at the viewer, but instead of tentacles it has breasts. it sits in the middle of the image surrounded by a lot of white space. titled "young boobtopus"

I apologize in advance but the more scary it becomes to look for work off the books the more I have to plug my Patreon :/ $2 a month gets you lots of text, $5 gets you texts and audio. It’s a pretty good deal imo! www.patreon.com/fucktheory

All design that holds, all form that persists, arises from field-conditioned feedback, not from projection.

very early spring tapestries made of wild plum blossoms and overcast skyes #bloomscrolling #photography
closeup of a twig of wild plum blossoms. They are white, have five petals each, a little pink accent towards the middle and yellow dots at the ends of their stigmas and stamens. The photo was taken on an overcast day, and the white of the petals merges with the white of the sky showing through in the out of focus backgrounda similar view as the last image, but zoomed out a bit more, showing more of the blossoms at once, and increasing the slightly disorienting effect of how the foreground and background merge

Make an economy where being a dirtbag is a viable lifestyle option, and you create a society that, as a side effect, allows people to create cool shit. An economy friendly to dirtbags is friendly to *everyone* with a weird cool hobby.

You can measure an economy's actual, real life, concrete health by: are people able to do their own weird shit? Do they have money to survive doing their weird shit? Do they have the free time to do that weird shit? Fuck the metrics, just look for the dirtbags and artists and musicians and writers

Love this & let's have diversity. But also let's remember that in the proper landscapes you can have the benefits of beech-family trees (important temperate keystone trees for forests and grasslands) the carbon collections AND bring stable food production into large cities, by choosing chestnuts)

Recommendations for starting. Since everybody always starts with the old novels even though they’re amazing I would actually start here especially for modern readers
Cover of the book fisherman of the inland Sea by Ursula K Leguin showing a person in a boat on the water with a gigantic moon illuminating behind them so that they are just a silhouetteCover of the book the winds 12/4 short stories by Ursula Kay Leguin author of the dispossessed in this there’s a circle divided into four Sections when is the stylized design of an eye with an iris one is a woven image of a person with a book and a fan that resembles a medieval image one is like a nebula with stars and one is a dragonBook cover the four ways to forgiveness stories rather generic cover just showing a crossroads from the sky with a field and some trees at the crossroads. I’m pretty sure this does not relate to the interior of the book

For new readers of Le guin I highly recommend that if you read this book you continue through the entire series because the first 3 books were written & then she went back and read them and realized that she has so much internalized mysogany The sequels are stunning critiques of her own books

Portlanders: I want to hear more Ursula K Le Guin stories. One of mine is when I got to see her at Powell‘s she started her lecture by saying “when I turned 70 I decided if I was going to learn Latin it better be soon …”
