Node.js 26.10 comes with built-in debounce and throttle utilities. Like it! Can't tell you how many times I implemented (copied from the previous project) these two. Debounce: nodejs.org/docs/latest/... Throttle: nodejs.org/docs/latest/... #nodejs

Here is my fully documented HTML boilerplate. It is a lean, minimal and solid foundation I use across the sites I develop. Written mostly for me, because I'm sure to forget why I've done things the way I have, but I hope it is of use to you too. vale.rocks/posts/html-b... #HTML #WebDev

My HTML Boilerplate
A document outlining and explaining my general structure for HTML pages to use. A slim general markup template that applies to almost all HTML documents on the web and forgoes anything unnecessary. It is a general framework to build upon for individual sites.

Impossible to overstate how much of my soul is imbued into this post. I wanted to push the boundaries of the web as an education platform. Why _shouldn’t_ we run Kubernetes in the browser to demonstrate for-real what happens, and let you influence it? Hope you love it. 🫶

I wish the Atmosphere had content warnings (like on the fediverse)... because I'd like to show you the limits of free speech absolutism and the kind of content that is allowed on #WSocial: blatant racism, xenophobia and transphobia. X vibes... but hey, it's "hosted in Europe" 😒
Posts by Anna Zeiter (W Social's CEO) about the company's approach to free speech and moderation. They read: "I strongly believe that everyone should be welcome on W, regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, skin colour, origin, religious or political beliefs, as long as they can verify they are human and behave toward others in a civil and lawful way. We don’t need W to become another echo chamber.

We need a platform where people with very different views can meet, listen to each other, challenge each other and disagree without immediately trying to cancel or silence one another. More dialogue. Less polarisation. ❤️ This is the kind of social network I want W to be. Happy to hear your views!"screenshot of a post by a W Social user that reads: "Don't vote for people who tell you men are women and jews are nazis"screenshot of a post by a W Social user that reads: "I've been anti BLM since the beginning and I'll always be anti BLM period"screenshot of a post by a W Social user where he shared a video by the "Institute of Remigration" (headed by a far-right leader) showcasing illegal immigrants entering Europe over time... with W Social CEO Anna Zeiter commenting "Wow! It's always so powerful if you visualize data... might be interesting for you @mikko" (a screenshot borrowed from Sascha Pallenberg's account)

Hey there @jschof.dev, reading part 3 of your reactivity series I’m noticing the first graph is not readable on mobile. I think I remember charts in previous parts being better on mobile, although I understand if that’s not something you’re aiming for.
Screenshot of a website on mobile. A heading at the top says “Change detection scope map”. A paragraph below says “Each layer is the level at which change detection is forced. Outermost layer is the broadest scope.” Below is a legend for a chart that lists JavaScript frameworks with color coded dots next to each framework, indicating whether the framework uses push, pull or push-pull reactivity. The chart itself is not visible.

This is a great read. Even if the ethics, inequality or environmental effects of LLMs aren’t enough to prevent you from using them, @collinsworth.dev has a compelling argument: They’re likely not good for you, your company or your users. joshcollinsworth.com/blog/product...

the cascading part of cascading style sheets is very good and cool and it's wild we spent a solid chunk of time as an industry trying to remove or negate it. you know what you get when you remove the 'c' from 'css'? yeah. exactly.
