Cholecalciferol supplementation significantly improved vascular function (flow-mediated dilation) in CKD patients, Changes in immune and vascular function were not directly linked. Findings support vitamin D’s role in immune and vascular health in CKD.

Secondary analysis of RCT of High-dose cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) in non-diabetic #CKD patients. #Vit D ➡️ shifted immune balance toward anti-inflammatory TH2 cells, ➡️ ⬇️ pro-inflammatory cytokines, ⬆️ vitD-responsive gene expression ➡️ showing direct immune modulation benefits CKD. #Immunology
