Cross country run today at my daughters school. She does not like cross country. She heard top 4 go to regional comp. She timed her run perfectly and came 6th only to be informed that top six are going. She is not very happy.

My #bonsai pōhutukawa. Coming along nicely now. I do think I need a nicer bowl for it. About my 4th attempt to get a pōhutukawa established on a bit of volcanic rock. Seems to be quite happy.

Can't make it out to the Tāmaki-makau-rau bonsai show but thought I would join in spirit. Just repotted my kōwhai forest. No idea what I'm doing really but it seems to be doing OK. #bonsai

5 bonsai kōwhai trees just moved into a new rectangular terracotta pot. Not quite sure if they really count as bonsai yet or just seedlings in a pot. Maybe 4 or 5 years old now

The shattered remains of my favourite mug. Tea is not going to taste the same. 😪 A poole sea crest shape i believe. Speckled grey outside and once pale blue inside but quite stained with tannins now.
