It was good to see the Ann Arbor city government’s “put down the phone” post. It was disappointing (though unsurprising) to watch former Councilmember and self-described pedestrian safety advocate Kathy Griswold condemn it during public comment at a recent city council meeting. #A2Council
Instagram post from @thecityofannarborgovernment showing several cyclists on a two-lane road with a double yellow line.

Text overlay reads:
“Great drivers see what’s ahead.”
“Put the phone down.”

Caption reads
“With back to school rapidly approaching, remember:
👀 Eyes up
📵 Phone down
↔️ Give 5 feet

We're supporting a statewide safety PSA from the League of Michigan Bicyclists this season and beyond.”
